I. Want. This.

I mentioned School House Rock on Friday, and yesterday my kids came back and told me it was coming out on DVD today. Naturally, I jumped on Amazon the first chance I got and looked it up.

My kiddos got a little mixed up. The Election Collection was released today, but it turns out the 30th Anniversary edition with "Every (School House Rock) Song Ever Created" has been out for years -- since 2002! How did I not know this? What a sad vigil I've kept over the latest in instructional media. Shame on me.

Now being aware of its existance, I'm coveting it like crazy, of course.

About (Long Version)

I'm in the throes of Ph.D. studies, an experience I'm loving and for which I'm deeply grateful. The downside is that other things I care about get pushed aside. This is my attempt to create space for those things, which include: education, photography, geeky things, amateur enthusiasm about science, shenanigans, adventures, occasional navel gazing, un-ironic enthusiasm about just about everything, and non-academic writing about all those.

Forced once in a bar to answer the question, "No, but really, on a scale of 1 to 10, how Catholic are you?", I said 10. If you're wondering what that even means, so am I. Anyway, that Catholicy stuff's everywhere.

This is a non-anonymous, search-engine-anti-optimized blog. It's not secret or private, so share away! I use first names, initials, or pseudonyms for myself, family and friends, and my institutions so this blog doesn't come up in searches about those people and things.
