Notre Dame, Herself

This was Friday, what feels like months ago, when the weather was lovely. It's been rather gloomy the last two days (which have felt like weeks).

I get to campus to take finals on July 16th. We need to meet up. That is, if you aren't too busy with all the ACE stuff.

About (Long Version)

I'm in the throes of Ph.D. studies, an experience I'm loving and for which I'm deeply grateful. The downside is that other things I care about get pushed aside. This is my attempt to create space for those things, which include: education, photography, geeky things, amateur enthusiasm about science, shenanigans, adventures, occasional navel gazing, un-ironic enthusiasm about just about everything, and non-academic writing about all those.

Forced once in a bar to answer the question, "No, but really, on a scale of 1 to 10, how Catholic are you?", I said 10. If you're wondering what that even means, so am I. Anyway, that Catholicy stuff's everywhere.
